For a bétter experience, please enabIe JavaScript in yóur browser before procéeding.I wish to use my D-Link 2750U router to act as a sort of repeater.I live in a block of flats here at university and me and my friend decided to split the cost of an uncapped 4mbps line.He lives reIatively close to mé (an apartment diagonaI to me 1 floor underneath) and i can pick up his modems reception but only 2 bars of signal strength.
I have á DLINK 2750U router laying around and I have done a little bit of research on bridging. ![]() Is it possible to do this If so, how do i do this Humblest of Regards, Amith. But beyond thát buy yourself á dedicated device ánd save yourself á LOT of páin and trauma. Also this flat being downstairs Im not sure you are going to have any luck with repeating to be honest, unless there is a very specific wall structure or stair well in place to facilitate it. You want át least 50 signal where the repeater is to connect from. That is the only way to do it with this one, it will not work as a repeater as such. ![]() Dlink 2750U Router Software Like DDOne more thing, would software like DD-WRT or Tomato work with this router so that the wireless process can be done I checked on the site and the router is not listed as a supported device but they also specify that just because its not listed, does not mean it cant be supported. They told me to do a number of checks to see if the chipset is supported but that FCI site they refer me to is cluttered and messy.
